Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Excavation Operator with a Class A CDL license to join our team. As an Excavation Operator, you will play a crucial role in our projects by operating heavy machinery and equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials. Your expertise will help us ensure the successful completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including excavators, skid steer, dingo, etc.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and other tasks according to project specifications.
- Safely and accurately dig, backfill, and grade basing for projects specifications.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using our company vehicles.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and promote a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL license is required.
- Proven experience as an Excavation Operator, operating heavy machinery for construction and excavation projects.
- Knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in excavation work.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Experience preferred but not required
Environmental Conditions:
Working conditions vary from that of outside conditions (extreme outdoor temperatures/inclement weather conditions), high noise level in certain areas.
Communication
Extensive daily interaction with yard staff, vendor staff, colleagues, management, and customers. Communicates effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally.
