Hans Hirsch

Hans Hirsch

Founder

Hans served two tours in Vietnam and was later stationed in Germany before returning to the US. He and wife Jeri, founded Krügel Cobbles in 1982. Their entire first year of business was spent installing projects in the Tangley Oaks sub division of Lake Bluff. The hardscape elements offered at that time were limited to driveways, walkways and patios. He is looking forward to the 40th anniversary of Krügel Cobbles coming up in 2022. Many people don’t know that Hans is an avid world traveler.

Jon Hirsch

Jon Hirsch

President

Jon was raised in Lake Bluff and attended Wake Forest University. Graduating in 1994 with a BA in Psychology. He joined Krügel in 1995 after working in mental health care at a Psychiatric Hospital in Massachusetts. It was during this time that Jon learned to interact with people, how to be patient and most of all how to listen. 

In his current role as President of Krügel Cobbles, Inc. he manages business operations and works with clients in a sales capacity. Jon loves to meet with clients and help them visualize and then create and install outdoor spaces that their families will love for years to come.

Jon lives by three philosophies: ‘Always give your best effort’, ‘live life 24 hours at a time’, ‘wear life like a loose garment.’  He can often be found volunteering his talents to organizations such as: Youth build Lake County, JDRF, Friends of Lake Bluff Parks, Illinois Landscape Contractors, and Landscape Design Association. You might also find him running, reading, coaching AYSO soccer and spending time with his family.

Moira Dillon

Moira Dillon

Designer

With a background in Architecture and Photography from the University of Buenos Aires, and after over a decade of moving throughout Latin America and the US, Moira feels she is a citizen of the world. These changes increased her flexibility and capability to face almost any challenge. When she is not designing or submitting permits, Moira can be found biking with her partner in crime for the last 26 years, hiding behind a book or photographing the Chicagoland area that she has come to love. One thing few people know about Moira: She is a certified yoga teacher.

Yash Sisodiya

Yash Sisodiya

Construction Manager/ Sr. Estimator

Yash came to the USA from India four years back with his Bachelors in Civil Engineering to pursue an advanced degree at Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago. He graduated with his Masters in Construction Management in 2018 and started working with a carpentry construction contractor in Chicago. At Krügel Cobbles, he oversees cost estimating, pre-construction management and project management. When not at Krügel, he will be found spending his time with his friends, enjoying different food and exploring more about Chicago.

Matt Boudart

Matt Boudart

Project Manager

Matt was born and raised in the north suburban village of Lindenhurst. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management in 2017. His first work experiences were cutting the lawns of his neighbors and working on a farm in Antioch. Both of these jobs taught Matt the value of hard work and reliability. “What I enjoy about my job is the opportunity to build positive relationships with many different people. Also, working outside on a daily basis in a variety of environments makes each day different and interesting”.  Matt enjoys home improvement projects, bicycling, and spending time in Northern Wisconsin with his family. 

Manuel Oseguera

Manuel Oseguera

Project Manager

Manuel was born in Mexico and moved to the United States as a young teen.  His first job was working in the fields.  Love the outdoors and being able to work with my hands.  “There is nothing like going home sweaty, proud, and a job well done.” He attended community college in the evenings after work, to improve his communicative skills. 

At Krügel Cobbles, he is one of the project managers who are present at projects to oversee the work to achieve a beautiful outdoor space. 

In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family and travel.  One thing people might not know about Manuel is that he wanted to go back to Mexico by the age of 40. Before that happened, he and his wife were blessed with two lovely boys.  Now a proud father he decided to stay in the U.S. to raised them and take them out fishing.

Adolfo Sanchez

Adolfo Sanchez

Administrative Operations

Adolfo moved from California to Illinois in 1995. He attended the College of Lake County and the University of Wisconsin. What I like about my job is the positive feedback from our clients regarding how we have helped transform their outdoor spaces and create beautiful places for them to enjoy.  When not in the office he can be found exercising, reading, learning new skills, and spending time with family, friends, and enjoy time with his pets . The one thing other people might not know about Adolfo is he is an exercise enthusiast and likes to go fishing.

Alex Gonzalez

Alex Gonzalez

Maintenance and Repairs Manager

Originally from Puerto Rico, Alex moved to the United States as a young teen. His first job was ‘flipping burgers’.  “What I learned from my first job was responsibility.” What Alex likes best about his job at Krügel Cobbles is working with clients to give them what they want, that and not getting dirty.
